What a fun night! The Tampa Bay Lightning hosted Hockey 'N Heels - a ladies only event for female fans to see what goes on behind the scenes and learn about the game of hockey.
We all gathered for a quick Hockey 101 with Lightning legend Dave Andreychuk and then broke into smaller groups.
My group went straight to the ice to meet a few of the players and try to take a few shots on goal.

We moved on to a question and answer session with a couple of the coaches' wives which was really insightful. They were so humble and open with us about what their daily lives are like.
We saw the newly renovated locker room and talked with one of the trainers in the team's weight room. The weight room was definitely a highlight for me because I got to push the 200+ pound sled!

We were treated to appetizers and drinks after our tour and given these really cute shirts!
Can't wait to go back next year!
